Subcontracts Manager – London – Residential An expanding London-based developer and construction business is looking to appoint a Subcontracts Manager to support a growing portfolio of mixed-use residential developments. Working within a fully integrated in-house delivery team, you will play a key role in the procurement, management and performance of subcontractors across multiple live and upcoming projects. The role will be based from the London office, with site visits required as projects progress through construction.
This opportunity is well suited to a Subcontracts Manager with experience in fast-paced construction environments, who is comfortable working closely with site and commercial teams and contributing to the continued growth of the business.
Lead the procurement process for subcontract packages, including tendering, evaluation, negotiation and appointment in line with programme and commercial objectives.
• Supply Chain Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers, monitoring performance, capacity and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Contractual & Commercial Support
Support the management of subcontract agreements, variations and change control, working closely with commercial and project teams to protect project value.
• Coordination with Site & Project Teams
Liaise with project managers, site teams and planners to ensure subcontract packages are properly scoped, sequenced and aligned with construction programmes.
• Compliance & Performance Monitoring
Ensure subcontractors meet required standards for health & safety, quality and sustainability, addressing performance issues promptly and effectively.
Must have 4+ years experience in a similar role on construction projects
Must be based within a commutable distance of London
